Zionism

Join Rabbi Rachel for an in depth exploration of Zionism(s). We will look at the competing streams of Zionism that emerged at the turn of the last century and discuss their evolution. In hevrutah (study pairs), we will study biblical, historical, and contemporary texts including poetry. While the focus will be mostly historical, we will end the class by discussing our relationship to the idea of Zionism as Jews living in the US.

Our study will take place at the Temple over two evenings:
Tuesday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m.
 
Attendance at both sessions is preferred if at all possible.
Light refreshments will be available.
